Finally Schnibbles

I finally got my Schnibbles Times Two book. (had two book sales on half.com this week so justified the expense) I've been drooling over all the quilts and can't wait to start one. I have found several charm packs in the stash but wouldn't you know it......only one pack of each style. I really shouldn't buy any new fabric so think I may cut some coordinating 5" squares for a civil war crossing pack and start on X-rated or Scratch or maybe Little Red. Don't know how I will decide since I love them all.

Design Wall Monday

I thought if I linked up to design wall Monday on Judy's blog I might motivate myself to finish this quilt. My daughter bought the fabric two years ago and chose the split nine patch block. I decided to make them large since she has a king size bed. I have never really liked it and finally showed it to her last week and she's not crazy about it either. I've made a ton of these blocks.
I started folding the blocks and she loved the small squares so now I am cutting them all down. I should mention that her interior designer friend suggested a tumbling block when she bought the fabric and she hated the idea .....arghhhhh.......no more special orders for me.

a new bag

I think the next time I make a bag I should use a pattern!! Today I traced my favortie Vera B. bag and it went pretty well except I forgot to put the straps in when sewing the top. It is rather small but I don't like a huge purse. I do love the Laura Gunn fabric.

I didn't like the first block 3 I made so made a new one. I like this one much better.

all caught up

I made the first 5 blocks for jelly roll sampler yesterday and today. I hope to stay on schedule from now on. My pictures are not so great I need to fix a design wall.

Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along

I finally started the jelly roll quilt along. Hope to catch up over the weekend. First time to piece on my new Bernina and it took me a bit to get the scant 1/4" seam I wanted. I bought a black/white jelly roll at AC Moore and will add strips from my black/white stash. I am using green as the background color in all the blocks.
