I want to sew something easy!

Block 10 of the jelly roll sampler did not pass the easy test! Rusty and Dixie did not make laying the quilt out for my daughter easy either.
She liked it though. I really need a design wall. I bought a big flannel backed tablecloth to use for a design wall, but my walls are plaster and it is hard for me to nail any kind of hanger up. I am enjoying the jelly roll sampler but I really want to start my schnibbles quilt. I may break my own rule (have to finish 2 things before starting something new) and start a quilt from my Schnibbles times Two book right now :_)

Hi- I just read your post via quilterblogs.com. I use a tablecloth too. But I live in an apt, so I didn't want to put holes in the wall. I bought those removable, adhesive 3M hooks at Target. They range in size and how much weight they support, but I just bought 3 of the small size. Then I poked three holes in the tablecloth and put it up. So far, so good. If you wanted to reinforce the holes with a grommet or something that would probably be better. So far, the hem of the cloth is keeping mine up! Keeps the canines away :)

I agree. This jelly roll block was not easy. I have enjoyed doing those. One every two weeks is manageable and I have been able to keep up.

Have to tell you that I do like your block. Love seeing different interpretations of the same pattern.

I don't have a permanent design wall either. I hang a fabric roll on my wardrobe's open door and top drawer and put white flannel on that. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Gosh I love these colors! Not my usual stuff but only because I can't afford to purchase all the fabric I want! THE DOGS ARE SO FUNNY!
