Design Wall Monday

I worked on the quilt for my bed this weekend. I don't know how other people whip quilts out so fast. I do not like the wine strip at all but it has to stay. Maybe I will put some applique on it or cover it with yoyos or learn to like it. :-)  I still need to add 10 to 12 inches all the way around. Will try to do that with the leftover prints.

I like the way it's growing. Believe me, I'm not speedy either, especially since I'm always distracted and jump from project to project. Sometimes I just have to think about something for a while. About that wine ... repeat it somewhere in the next border ... and your idea of toning it down with a little applique is GREAT!

I love snowball blocks and they make a great border for your quilt. I think the wine color works well in your top.

I really like your colors. I think applique over the wine would be wonderful. But, I also think it's fine without any "cover-ups".

Turned out wonderfully!!!

Maybe if you also used the wine as a binding, you might like it more?

The gold showing through the snowball border is particularly nice. I really like it so far.

I like the wine strip..gives your eye a resting place before the outer border. Love the quilt!

Missing seeing you on the How Does Your Garden Grow quilt along... :)
